| 5 | 10 | | planting and launched the Fellowship Bible Church movement, |

| 7 | 12 | | throughout the nation, including several in the Dallas area; he |

| 8 | 13 | | currently serves as president of the Center for Church Renewal, a |
|---|
| 9 | 14 | | nonprofit organization he started in 1978, and he is pastor |

| 10 | 15 | | emeritus of Chase Oaks Church in Plano; and |

| 11 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Following his retirement from the pastorate, |

| 12 | 17 | | Dr. Getz completed work on his interactive Life Essentials Study |

| 13 | 18 | | Bible, which is used by people around the world and has also been |
|---|
| 14 | 19 | | released in Spanish; furthermore, he produces Bible Principles, |
|---|
| 15 | 20 | | a daily radio broadcast that airs on a number of stations, and he |
|---|
| 16 | 21 | | is the author of more than 60 books, including The Measure of a |
|---|
| 17 | 22 | | Man: Twenty Attributes of a Godly Man; and |
|---|
| 18 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Getz graduated from Moody Bible Institute, |
|---|
| 19 | 24 | | and he later taught there and at Dallas Theological Seminary; he |
|---|
| 20 | 25 | | holds a master's degree from Wheaton College Graduate School and |
|---|
| 21 | 26 | | a Ph.D. from New York University; and |
|---|
| 22 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Gene Getz exemplifies the highest standards |

| 23 | 28 | | of his vocation, and he has inspired innumerable Texans through |

| 24 | 29 | | his message of faith and goodwill; now, therefore, be it |
