                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 382
 WHEREAS, The Medal of Honor Host City Museum at North
 Central Texas College in Gainesville is celebrating its grand
 opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 10, 2025, during
 Medal of Honor Week; and
 WHEREAS, Established by the Gainesville City Council in
 2001, the annual Medal of Honor Host City Program pays tribute to
 those who have received the Medal of Honor, the highest award for
 acts of valor that the United States bestows upon members of the
 armed forces; the initiative provides area residents with the
 opportunity to meet Medal of Honor recipients and express their
 appreciation; and
 WHEREAS, The Medal of Honor Host City Museum preserves the
 legacies of these military heroes through exhibits, programs,
 and events that share their stories; it also offers a variety of
 educational resources for visitors, seeking to inspire future
 generations to uphold the values of bravery, duty, and
 patriotism; in addition, the facility serves as a place for
 reflection in remembrance of those who courageously fought in
 service to our nation; and
 WHEREAS, The men and women who have received the Medal of
 Honor exemplify the highest ideals of the U.S. armed forces, and
 the Medal of Honor Host City Museum is helping to ensure that
 their sacrifices and achievements are not forgotten; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
 Legislature, hereby commemorate the grand opening of the Medal of
 Honor Host City Museum and commend all those involved in its
 establishment for their outstanding efforts; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
 prepared for the museum as an expression of high regard from the
 Texas Senate.
