To require the disclosure of certain visitor access records.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Access to White House 4
Visitor Logs Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. IMPROVING ACCESS TO INFLUENTIAL VISITOR AC-6
CESS RECORDS. 7
(a) D
EFINITIONS.—In this section: 8
(1) C
OVERED LOCATION .—The term ‘‘covered 9
location’’ means— 10
(A) the White House; 11

(B) the residence of the Vice President; 1
and 2
(C) any other location at which the Presi-3
dent or the Vice President regularly conducts 4
official business. 5
(2) C
OVERED RECORDS .—The term ‘‘covered 6
records’’ means information relating to a visit at a 7
covered location, which shall include— 8
(A) the name of each visitor at the covered 9
location; 10
(B) the name of each individual with whom 11
each visitor described in subparagraph (A) met 12
at the covered location; and 13
(C) the purpose of the visit. 14
(b) R
EQUIREMENT.—Except as provided in sub-15
section (c), not later than 30 days after the date of enact-16
ment of this Act, the President shall establish and update, 17
every 90 days, a publicly available database that contains 18
covered records for the preceding 30-day period. 19
(c) E
XCEPTIONS.— 20
(1) I
N GENERAL.—The President shall not in-21
clude in the database established under subsection 22
(b) any covered record— 23

(A) the posting of which would implicate 1
personal privacy or law enforcement concerns or 2
threaten national security; or 3
(B) relating to a purely personal guest at 4
a covered location. 5
(2) S
ENSITIVE MEETINGS.—With respect to a 6
particularly sensitive meeting at a covered location, 7
the President shall— 8
(A) include the number of visitors at the 9
covered location in the database established 10
under subsection (b); and 11
(B) post the applicable covered records in 12
the database established under subsection (b) 13
when the President determines that release of 14
the covered records is no longer sensitive. 15
