1919 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Federal Prison Bureau 4
2020 Nonviolent Offender Relief Act of 2023’’. 5
2121 SEC. 2. EARLY RELEASE FOR CERTAIN NONVIOLENT OF-6

2424 NGENERAL.—Section 3624 of title 18, United 8

2929 (1) in subsection (a), by inserting ‘‘on the early 1

3838 FFENDERS.—Notwithstanding any other provision of 8
3939 law, the Bureau of Prisons, pursuant to any policy for 9
4040 early release based on the prisoner’s conduct while incar-10
4141 cerated, shall release from confinement a prisoner who has 11
4242 served one half or more of their term of imprisonment (in-12
4343 cluding any consecutive term or terms of imprisonment) 13
4444 if that prisoner— 14
4545 ‘‘(1) has attained the age of 45 years; 15
4646 ‘‘(2) has never been convicted of a crime of vio-16
4747 lence; and 17
4848 ‘‘(3) has not engaged in any violation of institu-18
4949 tional disciplinary regulations involving violent con-19
5050 duct.’’. 20
