2020 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Grant Relief for Amer-4
2121 ican Children’s Elevation Act of 2023’’ or the ‘‘GRACE 5

2828 Section 240A(b) of the Immigration and Nationality 3
2929 Act (8 U.S.C. 1229b) is amended by adding at the end 4
3030 the following: 5
3131 ‘‘(7) E
3232 XCEPTIONAL AND EXTREMELY UNUSUAL 6
3333 HARDSHIP DEFINED .—In this subsection, the term 7
3434 ‘exceptional and extremely unusual hardship’ shall 8
3535 include hardship resulting from separating a family 9
3636 member who is a United States citizen, a lawful per-10
3737 manent resident or an individual lawfully admitted 11
3838 to the United States and a family member who is 12
3939 subject to deportation or removal from the United 13
4040 States.’’. 14
