| 39 | 39 | | under subsection (a), the Secretary of Defense may carry 10 |

| 41 | 41 | | (1) to actively defend military networks, infra-12 |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | structure, and systems; 13 |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | (2) to eradicate malicious cyber activity that 14 |

| 44 | 44 | | has compromised such networks, infrastructure, and 15 |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | systems; 16 |

| 46 | 46 | | (3) to leverage United States commercial and 17 |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | military cybersecurity technology and services to 18 |

| 48 | 48 | | harden and defend such networks, infrastructure, 19 |
