1818 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
1919 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Directing Resources 4
2020 for Officers Navigating Emergencies Act of 2025’’ or the 5
2121 ‘‘DRONE Act of 2025’’. 6
2222 SEC. 2. USE OF GRANT FUNDS FOR UNMANNED AIRCRAFT. 7

2424 YRNEGRANTS.—Section 501(a)(1) of the Om-8

3636 RANTS.—Section 1701(b) of the Omni-7
3737 bus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 (34 8
3838 U.S.C. 10381(b)) is amended— 9
3939 (1) by redesignating paragraphs (23) and (24) 10
4040 as paragraphs (24) and (25), respectively; 11
4141 (2) by inserting after paragraph (22) the fol-12
4242 lowing: 13
4343 ‘‘(23) to purchase and operate unmanned air-14
4444 craft systems (as such term is defined in section 15
4545 44801 of title 49, United States Code) to benefit 16
4646 public safety;’’; and 17
4747 (3) in paragraph (24), as so redesignated, by 18
4848 striking ‘‘(22)’’ and inserting ‘‘(23)’’. 19
