23 | 23 | | This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protect Our Letter 4 |

24 | 24 | | Carriers Act of 2025’’. 5 |

25 | 25 | | SEC. 2. SENSE OF CONGRESS. 6 |

37 | 37 | | $1,400,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2026 through 8 |

38 | 38 | | 2030 to the United States Postal Service to carry out, as 9 |
---|
39 | 39 | | determined by the United States Postal Service— 10 |
---|
40 | 40 | | (1) the installation of high security collection 11 |
---|
41 | 41 | | boxes; and 12 |
---|
42 | 42 | | (2) the replacement of older versions of the uni-13 |
---|
43 | 43 | | versal mailbox key, also known as the arrow key, 14 |

44 | 44 | | with electronic versions. 15 |

45 | 45 | | SEC. 4. COORDINATION OF PROSECUTION OF OFFENSES 16 |

73 | 73 | | BERY AGAINST A POSTAL EMPLOYEE. 14 |

74 | 74 | | Not later than May 1 following the first year that 15 |

75 | 75 | | begins after the date of the enactment of this Act, the 16 |
---|
76 | 76 | | United States Sentencing Commission shall amend the 17 |
---|
77 | 77 | | sentencing guidelines and policy statements promulgated 18 |
---|
78 | 78 | | under section 994 of title 28, United States Code, to pro-19 |
---|
79 | 79 | | vide that the assault or robbery of a postal employee, in-20 |
---|
80 | 80 | | cluding conduct committed during the immediate flight 21 |
---|
81 | 81 | | after the commission of such an assault or robbery if the 22 |
---|
82 | 82 | | conduct creates a substantial risk of serious bodily injury, 23 |
---|
