A BILL
To prohibit Federal funding for National Public Radio, and
for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘No More Funding for 4
NPR Act of 2025’’. 5
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON FEDERAL FUNDING FOR NA-6
TIONAL PUBLIC RADIO. 7
(a) P
ROHIBITION.—After the date of the enactment 8
of this Act, no Federal funds may, directly or indirectly, 9
be made available to or used to support an organization 10

described in subsection (d), including through the payment 1
of dues to or the purchase of programming from such or-2
ganization by a public broadcast station using Federal 3
funds received by such station. 4
(b) R
ESCISSION.—The unobligated balances of any 5
Federal amounts that otherwise would have been allocated 6
to the organization described in subsection (d)(1) for fiscal 7
year 2025 or 2026 are hereby permanently rescinded. 8
(c) L
IMITATION.—Subsections (a) and (b) do not 9
apply to Federal funds made available to an organization 10
described in subsection (d)— 11
(1) during a period that the Federal Emergency 12
Management Agency is actively engaged in disaster 13
response activities; and 14
(2) for the sole purpose of disseminating to the 15
public urgent information necessary to protect public 16
safety. 17
(d) O
RGANIZATIONSDESCRIBED.—The organizations 18
described in this subsection are— 19
(1) the organization known, as of the date of 20
the enactment of this Act, as ‘‘National Public 21
Radio’’; and 22
(2) any successor organization to the organiza-23
tion described in paragraph (1). 24
