6969 N GENERAL.—Notwithstanding any other 10
7070 provision of law or regulation, including section 11
7171 8908(c) of title 40, United States Code, the Smith-12
7272 sonian American Women’s History Museum may be 13
7373 located within the Reserve (as defined in section 14
7474 8902(a) of title 40, United States Code). 15

9595 site for the Museum that is under the administrative 5
9696 jurisdiction of another Federal agency or entity 6
9797 without first notifying the head of the Federal agen-7

101101 notified under paragraph (1), the head of the Fed-10
102102 eral agency or entity shall promptly submit written 11
103103 notification to the Chair and ranking minority mem-12
104104 bers of the Committee on Rules and Administration, 13
105105 the Committee on Appropriations, and the Com-14
106106 mittee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Sen-15
107107 ate, and the Committee on House Administration, 16
108108 the Committee on Natural Resources, the Committee 17
109109 on Transportation and Infrastructure, and the Com-18
110110 mittee on Appropriations of the House of Represent-19
111111 atives, stating that the Federal agency or entity was 20
112112 notified by the Board of Regents that a site under 21
113113 its jurisdiction was designated and that a transfer 22
114114 will be initiated as soon as practicable. 23

144144 rying out its duties, the Council shall ensure 20
145145 that it seeks and utilizes to its maximum ability 21
146146 guidance from a broad array of knowledgeable 22
147147 and respected sources reflecting the diversity of 23
148148 the political viewpoints and authentic experi-24
149149 ences held by women in the United States, and 25

157157 EFINITIONS.—In this subpara-4
158158 graph— 5
159159 ‘‘(i) the term ‘broad array’ means a 6
160160 range of experts and publications that rep-7
161161 resent the broad spectrum of communities 8
162162 of women, to include varied viewpoints, po-9
163163 litical ideologies, cultures, and lived experi-10
164164 ences in the United States; and 11
165165 ‘‘(ii) the term ‘knowledgeable and re-12
166166 spected source’ means an individual who 13
167167 has gained through education, publication, 14
168168 or witnessing an important or historical 15
169169 event, the ability to advise on at least one 16
170170 unique viewpoint or experience of a par-17
171171 ticular community of women in the United 18
172172 States, and whose knowledge has been re-19
173173 lied upon by a notable segment of that 20
174174 community for education, heritage preser-21
175175 vation, or historical purposes, and includes 22
176176 the work of such an individual which re-23
177177 flects such ability and knowledge.’’. 24

184184 submit to the Committee on Natural Resources of the 4
185185 House of Representatives, the Committee on Energy and 5
186186 Natural Resources of the Senate, the Committee on House 6
187187 Administration of the House of Representatives, the Com-7
188188 mittee on Rules and Administration of the Senate, the 8
189189 Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the 9
190190 House of Representatives, the Committee on Appropria-10
191191 tions of the House of Representatives, and the Committee 11
192192 on Appropriations of the Senate, a report on actions taken 12
193193 by the Director of the Smithsonian American Women’s 13
194194 History Museum and the Council of the Museum to com-14
195195 ply with the requirements of the amendments made by 15
196196 subsection (c), including a description of actions taken 16
197197 with respect to substantial revisions of current exhibits 17
198198 and programs as well the planning of future exhibits and 18
199199 programs. 19

201201 FFECTIVEDATE.—This section and the amend-20
202202 ments made by this section shall take effect as if included 21
203203 in the enactment of title I of division T of the Consolidated 22
204204 Appropriations Act, 2021 (20 U.S.C. 80t et seq.). 23
