44 | 44 | | ‘‘(1) develop and implement emergency re-13 |
---|
45 | 45 | | sponse procedures covering all students, faculty, and 14 |
---|
46 | 46 | | staff at public elementary and secondary schools 15 |
---|
47 | 47 | | under the jurisdiction of the agency; and 16 |
---|
48 | 48 | | ‘‘(2) pursuant to such procedures, ensure that 17 |
---|
49 | 49 | | parents and guardians receive timely notification of 18 |
---|
50 | 50 | | covered threats and emergencies that occur on 19 |
---|
51 | 51 | | school grounds, during school transportation, or dur-20 |
---|
52 | 52 | | ing school-sponsored activities. 21 |

54 | 54 | | DDITIONALREQUIREMENTS.—The emergency 22 |

55 | 55 | | response and notification procedures developed under sub-23 |

56 | 56 | | section (a) shall meet the following criteria: 24 |

57 | 57 | | ‘‘(1) The procedures shall be developed in con-25 |

102 | 102 | | NGENERAL.—Not later than 90 days after the 12 |

103 | 103 | | date of the enactment of this Act, the Director of the Cy-13 |

104 | 104 | | bersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of 14 |
---|
105 | 105 | | the Department of Homeland Security, in consultation 15 |
---|
106 | 106 | | with the Secretary of Homeland Security, shall convene 16 |
---|
107 | 107 | | a rulemaking advisory committee to review and develop 17 |
---|
108 | 108 | | findings and recommendations to require the installation 18 |
---|
109 | 109 | | or modification of interior and exterior doors in any ele-19 |
---|
110 | 110 | | mentary or secondary school in the United States which 20 |
---|
111 | 111 | | receives Federal funding. 21 |

113 | 113 | | EMBERSHIP.—The Director of CISA shall chair 22 |
---|
114 | 114 | | and, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Secu-23 |

115 | 115 | | rity, appoint the members of the rulemaking committee 24 |

116 | 116 | | under subsection (a), which shall be comprised of the Sec-25 |
