Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protecting our Com-4 munities from Sexual Predators Act’’. 5 SEC. 2. DETENTION OF CERTAIN ALIENS WHO COMMIT SEX-6 UAL ASSAULT. 7 Section 236(c)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality 8 Act (8 U.S.C. 1226(c)(1)) is amended— 9 VerDate Sep 11 2014 17:14 Jan 29, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00001 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H134.IH H134 ssavage on LAPJG3WLY3PROD with BILLS 2 •HR 134 IH (1) in subparagraph (C), by striking ‘‘, or’’ and 1 inserting a comma; 2 (2) in subparagraph (D), by adding ‘‘or’’ at the 3 end; and 4 (3) by inserting after subparagraph (D) the fol-5 lowing: 6 ‘‘(E)(i) is inadmissible under section 7 212(a)(6)(A) or (C) or under section 212(a)(7); 8 and 9 ‘‘(ii) is charged with, arrested for, con-10 victed of, admits having committed, or admits 11 committing acts which constitute the essential 12 elements of, any offense involving sexual assault 13 (as such term is defined in section 14 214(d)(3)(A)),’’. 15 SEC. 3.
