A BILL
To amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to provide
for the detention, inadmissibility, and removal of aliens
who commit sexual assault.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protecting our Com-4
munities from Sexual Predators Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. DETENTION OF CERTAIN ALIENS WHO COMMIT SEX-6
UAL ASSAULT. 7
Section 236(c)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality 8
Act (8 U.S.C. 1226(c)(1)) is amended— 9

(1) in subparagraph (C), by striking ‘‘, or’’ and 1
inserting a comma; 2
(2) in subparagraph (D), by adding ‘‘or’’ at the 3
end; and 4
(3) by inserting after subparagraph (D) the fol-5
lowing: 6
‘‘(E)(i) is inadmissible under section 7
212(a)(6)(A) or (C) or under section 212(a)(7); 8
and 9
‘‘(ii) is charged with, arrested for, con-10
victed of, admits having committed, or admits 11
committing acts which constitute the essential 12
elements of, any offense involving sexual assault 13
(as such term is defined in section 14
214(d)(3)(A)),’’. 15
SEC. 3. INADMISSILIBITY AND DEPORTABILITY RELATED 16
TO SEXUAL ASSAULT. 17
(a) I
NADMISSIBILITY.— Section 212(a)(2) of the Im-18
migration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(2)) is 19
amended by adding at the end the following: 20
‘‘(J) S
EXUAL ASSAULT.—Any alien who 21
has been convicted of, who admits having com-22
mitted, or who admits committing acts which 23
constitute the essential elements of, any offense 24

involving sexual assault (as such term is defined 1
in section 214(d)(3)(A)), is inadmissible.’’. 2
(b) D
EPORTABILITY.—Section 237(a)(2) of the Im-3
migration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(2)) is 4
amended by adding at the end the following: 5
‘‘(G) S
EXUAL ASSAULT.—Any alien who 6
has been convicted of, who admits having com-7
mitted, or who admits committing acts which 8
constitute the essential elements of, any offense 9
involving sexual assault (as such term is defined 10
in section 214(d)(3)(A)), is deportable.’’. 11
