1919 SECTION 1. ESTABLISHMENT OF THE GENERAL GEORGE C. 3
2020 MARSHALL HOUSE AS AN AFFILIATED AREA. 4
2121 (a) I
2222 NGENERAL.—The General George C. Marshall 5
2323 House, in the Commonwealth of Virginia, is established 6
2424 as an affiliated area of the National Park System. 7
2525 (b) D
2626 ESCRIPTION OFAFFILIATEDAREA.—The affili-8
2727 ated area shall consist of the area generally depicted as 9

3535 (c) A
3636 DMINISTRATION.—The affiliated area shall be 5
3737 managed in a manner consistent with— 6
3838 (1) this Act; and 7
3939 (2) any law generally applicable to units of the 8
4040 National Park System. 9
4141 (d) M
4242 ANAGEMENTENTITY.—The George C. Marshall 10
4343 International Center shall be the management entity for 11
4444 the affiliated area. 12
4545 (e) A
4646 GREEMENTS.—The Secretary of the Interior (re-13
4747 ferred to in this section as the ‘‘Secretary’’)— 14
4848 (1) may provide technical assistance and enter 15
4949 into cooperative agreements with the management 16
5050 entity for the purpose of providing financial assist-17
5151 ance for the marketing, marking, interpretation, and 18
5252 preservation of the affiliated area; and 19
5353 (2) shall enter into an agreement with the man-20
5454 agement entity that delineates the roles and respon-21
5555 sibilities for the management of the area consistent 22
5656 with the policies and standards that apply to units 23
5757 of the National Park System. 24

6262 this Act authorizes the Secretary to acquire property at 2
6363 the affiliated area or to assume managerial or financial 3
6464 responsibility for the operation, maintenance, or manage-4
6565 ment of the affiliated area. 5

6767 RIVATEPROPERTYPROTECTION.—Nothing in 6
6868 this Act affects the land use rights of private property 7
6969 owners adjacent to the General George C. Marshall House. 8

7171 OBUFFERZONES.— 9

7373 N GENERAL.—Nothing in this Act shall be 10
7474 construed to create buffer zones outside of the Gen-11
7575 eral George C. Marshall House. 12
7676 (2) A
7777 CTIVITY OR USE OUTSIDE THE GENERAL 13
7878 GEORGE C. MARSHALL HOUSE.—The fact that an ac-14
7979 tivity or use can be seen, heard, or detected from 15
8080 within the George C. Marshall House shall not pre-16
8181 clude, limit, control, regulate, or determine the con-17
8282 duct or management of activities or uses outside of 18
8383 the George C. Marshall House. 19
