1515 SECTION 1. PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS FOR RUSLANA 3
1616 MELNYK AND VIKAS TOMAR. 4
1717 (a) I
1818 NGENERAL.—Notwithstanding subsections (a) 5
1919 and (b) of section 201 of the Immigration and Nationality 6
2020 Act, Ruslana Melnyk and Mykhaylo Gnatyuk shall each 7
2121 be eligible for issuance of an immigrant visa or for adjust-8
2222 ment of the status to that of an alien lawfully admitted 9
2323 for permanent residence upon filing an application for 10
2424 issuance of an immigrant visa under section 204 of such 11

3131 DJUSTMENT OF STATUS.—If Ruslana Melnyk 3
3232 and Mykhaylo Gnatyuk enter the United States before the 4
3333 filing deadline specific in subsection (c), he or she shall 5
3434 be considered to have entered and remained lawfully and 6
3535 shall, if otherwise eligible, be eligible for adjustment of 7
3636 status under section 245 of the Immigration and Nation-8
3737 ality Act as of the date of the enactment of this Act. 9

3939 EADLINE FORAPPLICATION ANDPAYMENT OF 10

4141 EES.—Subsections (a) and (b) shall apply only if the ap-11
4242 plication for issuance of an immigrant visa or the applica-12
4343 tion for adjustment of status is filed with appropriate fees 13
4444 within 2 years after the date of the enactment of this Act. 14

4646 EDUCTION OF IMMIGRANTVISANUMBER.— 15
4747 Upon the granting of an immigrant visa or permanent res-16
4848 idence to Ruslana Melnyk and Mykhaylo Gnatyuk the Sec-17
4949 retary of State shall instruct the proper officer to reduce 18
5050 by 2, during the current or next following fiscal year, the 19
5151 total number of immigrant visas that are made available 20
5252 to natives of the country of the aliens’ birth under section 21
5353 203(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act or, if appli-22
5454 cable, the total number of immigrant visas that are made 23
5555 available to natives of the country of the aliens’ birth 24
5656 under section 202(e) of such Act. 25

6262 REATMENT FOR CERTAINRELATIVES.—The natural 2
6363 parents, brothers, and sisters of Ruslana Melnyk and 3
6464 Mykhaylo Gnatyuk shall not, by virtue of such relation-4
