To include cybersecurity technical assistance in the national
rural water and wastewater circuit rider program of De-
partment of Agriculture.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Cybersecurity for 4
Rural Water Systems Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. INCLUSION OF CYBERSECURITY TECHNICAL AS-1
SISTANCE IN THE NATIONAL RURAL WATER 2
AND WASTEWATER CIRCUIT RIDER PRO-3
GRAM. 4
(a) I
NGENERAL.—Section 306(a)(22)(A) of the Con-5
solidated Farm and Rural Development Act (7 U.S.C. 6
1926(a)(22)(A)) is amended— 7
(1) by striking ‘‘and’’ at the end of clause (i); 8
and 9
(2) by redesignating clause (ii) as clause (iii) 10
and inserting after clause (i) the following: 11
‘‘(ii) shall include cybersecurity tech-12
nical assistance for rural water systems 13
serving fewer than 10,000 persons, to— 14
‘‘(I) assess system efficacy in 15
protecting against cyber threats; and 16
‘‘(II) implement cybersecurity 17
plans, procedures, and technologies to 18
protect against cyber threats; and’’. 19
(b) E
XTENSION OF PROGRAM.—Section 20
306(a)(22)(B) of such Act (7 U.S.C. 1926(a)(22)(B)) is 21
amended by striking ‘‘$25,000,000 for each of fiscal years 22
2019 through 2023’’ and inserting ‘‘$32,500,000 for each 23
of fiscal years 2026 through 2030, of which $7,500,000 24
for each of the fiscal years shall be used to provide cyber-25
