39 | 39 | | egg products subject to regulation under the Egg Products 10 |

40 | 40 | | Inspection Act (21 U.S.C. 1031 et seq.). 11 |

42 | 42 | | EVISEDRULEREQUIRED.—Not later than 180 12 |

43 | 43 | | days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Sec-13 |

44 | 44 | | retary of Health and Human Services, acting through the 14 |

45 | 45 | | Commissioner of Food and Drugs, and in consultation 15 |
---|
46 | 46 | | with the Secretary of Agriculture, shall issue a rule revis-16 |
---|
47 | 47 | | ing section 118.4 of title 21, Code of Federal Regulations 17 |
---|
48 | 48 | | (or successor regulations), to allow for surplus broiler 18 |
---|
49 | 49 | | hatching eggs to be held at such temperature and for such 19 |
---|
50 | 50 | | period of time at such temperature, so as to be compatible 20 |
---|
51 | 51 | | with conditions for hatching chicks and to allow for the 21 |
---|
52 | 52 | | sale of such eggs to egg breakers for the purposes de-22 |
