Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Iranian Terror Preven-4
tion Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. DESIGNATION AS FTO; IMPOSITION OF SANCTIONS. 1
(a) D
ESIGNATION ASFTO.—Not later than 90 days 2
after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary 3
of State shall designate as a foreign terrorist organization 4
pursuant to section 219(a) of the Immigration and Na-5
tionality Act (8 U.S.C. 1189(a)) each of the following: 6
(1) Abu Fadl al-Abbas Brigades. 7
(2) Badr Organization. 8
(3) Fatemiyoun Brigade. 9
(4) Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba. 10
(5) Kata’ib al-Imam Ali. 11
(6) Kata’ib Jund al-Imam. 12
(7) Kata’ib Sayyad al Shuhada. 13
(8) Sarayya al-Jihad. 14
(9) Sarayya Khorasani. 15
(10) Zainabiyoun Brigade. 16
(11) Salah al-Din Brigade. 17
(12) Turkmen Brigades. 18
(13) Babylon Brigades. 19
(14) Iraqi Popular Mobilization Unit 80th Regi-20
ment. 21
(15) Liwa Ali al-Akhbar. 22

(b) I
MPOSITION OFSANCTIONS.— 15
(1) I
N GENERAL.—Not later than 60 days after 16
the date of the enactment of this Act, the President 17
shall determine whether to impose the sanctions de-18
scribed in paragraph (3) on any organization listed 19
under paragraph (2) or any entity or organization 20
that is an agent, affiliate, or instrumentality, or 21
owned or controlled by an agent, affiliate, or instru-22
mentality of an organization listed in paragraph (2). 23

(2) ORGANIZATIONS.—The following are organi-1
zations with respect to which a sanction determina-2
tion shall be made: 3
(A) Abu Fadl al-Abbas Brigades. 4
(B) Badr Organization. 5
(C) Kata’ib al-Imam Ali. 6
(D) Kata’ib Jund al-Imam. 7
(E) Sarayya al-Jihad. 8
(F) Sarayya Khorasani. 9

ANCTIONS DESCRIBED.—The sanctions de-2
scribed in this subsection are sanctions applicable 3
with respect to a foreign person pursuant to Execu-4
tive Order 13224 (50 U.S.C. 1701 note; relating to 5
blocking property and prohibiting transactions with 6
persons who commit, threaten to commit, or support 7
terrorism). 8
(c) R
EPORT.— 9
(1) S
ECRETARY OF STATE REPORT .—Not later 10
than 180 days after the date of enactment of this 11
Act, and every 180 days thereafter, the Secretary of 12
State, in consultation with the Secretary of Com-13
merce, shall submit to Congress a report on any new 14
entities meeting the requirements for— 15
(A) designation as a foreign terrorist orga-16
nization; or 17
(B) imposition of sanctions with respect to 18
a foreign person pursuant to Executive Order 19
13224 (50 U.S.C. 1701 note; relating to block-20
ing property and prohibiting transactions with 21
persons who commit, threaten to commit, or 22
support terrorism). 23
(2) P
RESIDENTIAL REPORT .—The President 24
shall submit to Congress a report not later than 60 25

days after a determination has been made under 1
subsection (b) on whether the organizations listed 2
under such subsection have sanctions imposed pur-3
suant to Executive Order 13224 and shall provide a 4
detailed explanation should any such organization 5
not be sanctioned. 6
