To amend the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant
Responsibility Act of 1996 to require all Federal contrac-
tors to participate in the E-verify program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. REQUIREMENT FOR ALL FEDERAL CONTRAC-3
TORS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE E-VERIFY PRO-4
GRAM. 5
Section 402(e)(1) of the Illegal Immigration Reform 6
and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 7

EDERAL CONTRACTORS .—Each con-3
tractor of an agency in the executive or legisla-4
tive branch of the Federal Government, and 5
each subcontractor thereof at any tier, shall 6
elect to participate in the E-verify program de-7
scribed in section 403(a) and shall comply with 8
the terms and conditions of such an election.’’. 9
