To amend the Student Support and Academic Enrichment
Grant program to promote career awareness in account-
ing as part of a well-rounded STEM educational experi-
ence.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Accounting STEM 4
Pursuit Act of 2025’’. 5

SEC. 2. ACCOUNTING AS PART OF A WELL-ROUNDED EDU-1
CATIONAL EXPERIENCE. 2
Subpart 1 of part A of title IV of the Elementary 3
and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 7111 4
et seq.) is amended— 5
(1) in section 4104(b)(3)(A)(i)— 6
(A) in subclause (VI), by striking ‘‘or’’ at 7
the end; 8
(B) by redesignating subclause (VII) as 9
subclause (VIII); and 10
(C) by inserting after subclause (VI) the 11
following new subclause: 12
‘‘(VII) accounting education, in-13
cluding accounting career awareness; 14
or’’; and 15
(2) in section 4107(a)(3)— 16
(A) in subparagraph (I), by striking ‘‘or’’ 17
at the end; 18
(B) by redesignating subparagraph (J) as 19
subparagraph (K); and 20
(C) by inserting after subparagraph (I) the 21
following new subparagraph: 22
‘‘(J) activities to promote the development, 23
implementation, and strengthening of programs 24
to teach accounting, including increasing access 25
to high-quality accounting courses for students 26
