A BILL 
To make the assault of a law enforcement officer a 
deportable offense, and for other purposes. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protect Our Law en-4
forcement with Immigration Control and Enforcement Act 5
of 2025’’ or the ‘‘POLICE Act of 2025’’. 6
SEC. 2. ASSAULT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. 7
Section 237(a)(2) of the Immigration and Nationality 8
Act (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(2)) is amended by adding at the 9
end the following: 10

‘‘(G) ASSAULT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OF -1
FICER.— 2
‘‘(i) I
N GENERAL.—Any alien who has 3
been convicted of, who admits having com-4
mitted, or who admits committing acts 5
which constitute the essential elements of, 6
any offense involving assault of a law en-7
forcement officer is deportable. 8
‘‘(ii) C
IRCUMSTANCES.—The cir-9
cumstances referred to in clause (i) are 10
that the law enforcement officer was as-11
saulted— 12
‘‘(I) while he or she was engaged 13
in the performance of his or her offi-14
cial duties; 15
‘‘(II) because of the performance 16
of his or her official duties; or 17
‘‘(III) because of his or her sta-18
tus as a law enforcement officer. 19
‘‘(iii) D
EFINITIONS.—In this subpara-20
graph— 21
‘‘(I) the term ‘assault’ has the 22
meaning given that term in the juris-23
diction where the act occurred; and 24

‘‘(II) the term ‘law enforcement 1
officer’ is a person authorized by 2
law— 3
‘‘(aa) to engage in or super-4
vise the prevention, detention, in-5
vestigation, or prosecution, or the 6
incarceration of any person for 7
any criminal violation of law; 8
‘‘(bb) to apprehend, arrest, 9
or prosecute an individual for 10
any criminal violation of law; or 11
‘‘(cc) to be a firefighter or 12
other first responder.’’. 13
SEC. 3. REPORT ON ALIENS DEPORTED FOR ASSAULTING A 14
LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. 15
On an annual basis, the Secretary of Homeland Secu-16
rity shall submit to Congress and make publicly available 17
on the website of the Department of Homeland Security 18
a report on the number of aliens who were deported during 19
the previous year under section 237(a)(2)(G) of the Immi-20
gration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(2)(G)). 21
