2121 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Rural 340B Access 4
2222 Act of 2025’’. 5

2727 COVERED ENTITIES FOR PURPOSES OF THE 2
2828 340B DRUG DISCOUNT PROGRAM. 3
2929 Section 340B(a)(4) of the Public Health Service Act 4
3030 (42 U.S.C. 256b(a)(4)) is amended by adding at the end 5
3131 the following new subparagraph: 6
3232 ‘‘(P) An entity that is a rural emergency 7
3333 hospital (as defined in section 1861(kkk)(2) of 8
3434 the Social Security Act) that is owned or oper-9
3535 ated by a unit of State or local government, is 10
3636 a public or private non-profit corporation which 11
3737 is formally granted governmental powers by a 12
3838 unit of State or local government, or is a pri-13
3939 vate non-profit rural emergency hospital which 14
4040 has a contract with a State or local government 15
4141 to provide health care services to low income in-16
4242 dividuals who are not entitled to benefits under 17
4343 title XVIII of the Social Security Act or eligible 18
4444 for assistance under the State plan under this 19
4545 title.’’. 20
