To direct the Secretary of Agriculture to convey certain
Federal land to the City of The Dalles, Oregon.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘The Dalles Watershed 4
Development Act’’. 5
SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. 6
In this Act: 7

ITY.—The term ‘‘City’’ means the City of 8
The Dalles, Oregon. 9

(2) SECRETARY.—The term ‘‘Secretary’’ means 1
the Secretary of the Agriculture, acting through the 2
Chief of the Forest Service. 3
SEC. 3. THE DALLES CONVEYANCE. 4
(a) I
NGENERAL.—If, not later than 1 year after the 5
date of the enactment of this Act, the City submits a writ-6
ten request to the Secretary for conveyance of the land 7
described in subsection (b)(1), the Secretary shall, as soon 8
as practicable thereafter, convey to the City, all right, title, 9
and interest of the United States in and to such land. 10

ESCRIPTION OFLAND.— 11
(1) I
N GENERAL.—The land described in this 12
paragraph is the parcel of real property generally de-13
picted as ‘‘parcel A’’ on the map, consisting of ap-14
proximately 150 acres of National Forest System 15
land located in the Mount Hood National Forest in 16
Oregon. 17

EFINITION.—In this section, the 19
term ‘‘map’’ means the map entitled ‘‘The 20
Dalles Conveyance Parcel A’’ and dated Novem-21
ber 4, 2024. 22
(B) M
INOR ERRORS.—The Secretary may 23
correct minor errors in the map. 24

(C) AVAILABILITY OF MAP.—A copy of the 1
map shall be on file and available for public in-2
spection in the appropriate offices of Forest 3
Service. 4
(3) S
URVEY.—The exact acreage and legal de-5
scription of the National Forest System land to be 6
conveyed under subsection (a) shall be determined 7
by a survey satisfactory to the Secretary. 8
(c) T
ERMS AND CONDITIONS.—The conveyance 9
under subsection (a) shall be— 10
(1) subject to valid existing rights; 11
(2) made without consideration; 12
(3) made by quitclaim deed; and 13
(4) subject to such additional terms and condi-14
tions as the Secretary determines to be appropriate 15
to protect the interests of the United States. 16
(d) A
DMINISTRATIVECOSTS.—As a condition of the 17
conveyance under subsection (a), the City shall pay all 18
costs associated with the conveyance, including the cost 19
of a survey under subsection (b)(3). 20
