tary Academy to include the phrase ‘‘Duty, Honor, Coun-
try’’.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Maintaining Academy 4
Culture and Assuring Retention of Tradition, Honor, and 5
Unity of the Republic Act’’ or the ‘‘MACARTHUR Act’’. 6
SEC. 2. SENSE OF CONGRESS. 7
It is the sense of Congress that the principles of 8
‘‘Duty, Honor, Country’’ should be— 9

(1) deeply embedded in the ethos of the United 1
States Military Academy; and 2
(2) instilled in each cadet. 3
SEC. 3. MODIFICATION OF UNITED STATES MILITARY 4
ACADEMY MISSION STATEMENT. 5
Not later than 30 days after the date of the enact-6
ment of this Act, the Secretary of the Army shall amend 7
the mission statement of the United States Military Acad-8
emy to include the phrase ‘‘Duty, Honor, Country’’. 9
