43 | 43 | | 2022, inviting States to use Medicaid funding under 10 |

45 | 45 | | the Social Security Act to expand access to elective 12 |
---|

47 | 47 | | (4) The Hyde Amendment applies to all Med-14 |

48 | 48 | | icaid funds and cannot be superseded by a waiver 15 |

49 | 49 | | under section 1115 of the Social Security Act. 16 |

50 | 50 | | (5) Legislation to permanently prohibit Med-17 |
---|
51 | 51 | | icaid dollars from going to elective abortions, includ-18 |
---|
52 | 52 | | ing payment for abortions and services that neces-19 |

53 | 53 | | sitate receipt for services of abortion, is consistent 20 |
