STATE REPORTING OF SEXUALLY DANGEROUS PER-1 SONS. 2 (a) I NGENERAL.—Section 301(c)(1) of the Adam 3 Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 (34 U.S.C. 4 20971(c)(1)) is amended— 5 (1) by redesignating subparagraphs (A) and 6 (B) as clauses (i) and (ii), respectively, and by mov-7 ing such clauses, as redesignated, 2 ems to the right; 8 (2) in clause (ii), as redesignated, by striking 9 the period and inserting ‘‘; and’’; 10 (3) by striking ‘‘shall, before the expiration of 11 the compliance period—’’ and inserting the fol-12 lowing: ‘‘shall— 13 ‘‘(A) before the expiration of the compli-14 ance period—’’; and 15 (4) by adding at the end the following: 16 ‘‘(B) submit to the Attorney General a list 17 of individuals who were convicted of a sexually 18 dangerous offense in the previous fiscal year.’’. 19 (b) R EVIEW FORFEDERALPROSECUTION.—Section 20 301 of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act 21 of 2006 (34 U.S.C. 20971) is amended by adding at the 22 end the following: 23 ‘‘(g) R EVIEW FORFEDERALPROSECUTION.—The 24 Attorney General shall review the list submitted pursuant 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 22:44 Feb 24, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00002 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H779.IH H779 kjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB 3 •HR 779 IH to subsection (c)(1)(B) to determine whether the convicted 1 individual should be prosecuted for a Federal offense.’’. 2 (c) L IMITATIONS ONFEDERALFUNDINGWITHRE-3 SPECT TOHEALTHCARE FORSPECIFIEDINDIVIDUALS.— 4 (1) M EDICAID.—Subject to paragraph (3), pay-5 ment under section 1903(a) of the Social Security 6 Act (42 U.S.C. 1396b(a)) shall not be made to a 7 State with respect to medical assistance furnished to 8 a specified individual under a State plan (or waiver 9 of such plan) under title XIX of such Act (42 10 U.S.C. 1396 et seq.). 11 (2) M EDICARE.—Subject to paragraph (3), a 12 specified individual shall be deemed to be ineligible 13 for— 14 (A) hospital insurance benefits under part 15 A of title XVIII of the Social Security Act (42 16 U.S.C. 1395 et seq.); and 17 (B) supplementary medical insurance bene-18 fits under part B of title XVIII of such Act (42 19 U.S.C. 1395j et seq.). 20 (3) E XCEPTION.—Paragraphs (1) and (2) shall 21 not apply in the case of an individual who is an in-22 patient of a hospital or a skilled nursing facility (as 23 such terms are defined in title XVIII of the Social 24 Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395 et seq.)) and receives 25 VerDate Sep 11 2014 22:44 Feb 24, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00003 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6201 E:\BILLS\H779.IH H779 kjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB 4 •HR 779 IH involuntary treatment at such hospital or skilled 1 nursing facility. 2 (4) S PECIFIED INDIVIDUAL DEFINED .—In this 3 subsection, the term ‘‘specified individual’’ means an 4 individual who has been convicted of a sexually vio-5 lent offense and has been determined to be a sexu-6 ally dangerous person (as such term is defined in 7 section 301(e) of the Adam Walsh Child Protection 8 and Safety Act of 2006 (34 U.S.C. 20971(e))). 9 (d) I NCREASE SORNA R EPORTING REQUIRE-10 MENTS.—Section 114(b) of the Adam Walsh Child Protec-11 tion and Safety Act of 2006 (34 U.S.C. 20914(b)) is 12 amended— 13 (1) by redesignating paragraph (8) as para-14 graph (9); and 15 (2) by inserting after paragraph (7) the fol-16 lowing: 17 ‘‘(8) Information about any relevant court 18 case.’’. 19 Æ VerDate Sep 11 2014 22:44 Feb 24, 2025 Jkt 059200 PO 00000 Frm 00004 Fmt 6652 Sfmt 6301 E:\BILLS\H779.IH H779 kjohnson on DSK7ZCZBW3PROD with $$_JOB
