To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to repeal
the limitation on the maximum deduction for shelter
expenses allowable for determination of benefits under
such Act.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘SNAP Benefits Fair-4
ness Act of 2025’’. 5
SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS. 6
Section 5(e)(6) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 7
2008 (7 U.S.C. 2014(e)(6)) is amended— 8

(1) by striking subparagraph (B), and 1
(2) by redesignating subparagraphs (C) and 2
(D) as subparagraphs (B) and (C), respectively. 3
SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. 4
This Act and the amendments made by this Act shall 5
take effect on January 1 that 1st occurs after the date 6
of the enactment of this Act. 7
