3636 EPORT.—Not later than 90 days after the date 4
3737 of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense, 5
3838 in consultation with the President, shall submit to the 6
3939 Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the 7
4040 House of Representatives a report about the effects on na-8
4141 tional security of surveillance conducted by the People’s 9
4242 Republic of China via the high-altitude surveillance bal-10
4343 loon shot down in the airspace of the United States in 11
4444 February 2023, including— 12
4545 (1) a description of any such effects on military 13
4646 installations; and 14
4747 (2) an analysis of any technology and materials 15
4848 recovered from the high-altitude surveillance balloon, 16
4949 including each country of origin of such technology 17
5050 and materials, if a country of origin can be deter-18
5151 mined. 19

5353 ORM.—The report required under this section 20
5454 shall be submitted in an unclassified form, but may in-21
5555 clude a classified annex. 22
