1919 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Support Military Fam-4

2121 SEC. 2. PERMITTING TELEWORK OR REMOTE WORK FOR 6

2424 (a) I
2525 NGENERAL.—Notwithstanding any other law, 9
2626 rule, or regulation, any employee in the executive branch 10

3232 (1) shall be exempt from any requirement to re-3
3333 turn to full-time in-person work; and 4
3434 (2) may engage in telework or remote work. 5
3535 (b) A
3636 PPLICATION.—Subsection (a) shall only apply to 6
3737 such a spouse who, prior to January 20, 2025, was eligible 7
3838 to telework or remote work. 8

4040 EPORT.—Not later than 180 days after the 9
4141 date of the enactment of this section, the Comptroller 10
4242 General of the United States shall submit a report, to the 11
4343 Committee on Oversight and Government Reform of the 12
4444 House of Representatives and the Committee on Home-13
4545 land Security and Governmental Affairs of the Senate, 14
4646 and publish such report on the public website of the Gov-15
4747 ernment Accountability Office. Such report shall include— 16
4848 (1) the total number of employees described in 17
4949 subsection (a); 18
5050 (2) the average distance (in miles) such employ-19
5151 ees would commute if required to report to work in- 20
5252 person at their agency duty station; and 21
5353 (3) the estimated economic impact of requiring 22
5454 such employees to perform in-person work, including 23
5555 the estimated costs of filling positions becoming va-24
