1818 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
1919 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Cultural Trade Pro-4
2020 motion Act’’. 5
2121 SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. 6

2424 REATIVE INDUSTRY OR OCCUPATION .— 8
2525 The term ‘‘creative industry or occupation’’ means— 9
2626 (A) an industry that— 10

3131 tial impact (including through positions 2
3232 that lead to economic self-sufficiency and 3
3333 opportunities for advancement) on a State, 4
3434 regional, or local economy or a Native 5
3535 American community’s economy, as appro-6
3636 priate; and 7
3737 (ii) contributes to the growth of busi-8
3838 nesses, nonprofit organizations, or self-em-9
3939 ployment opportunities that have their ori-10
4040 gin in individual creativity, skill, and tal-11
4141 ent, including such businesses, organiza-12
4242 tions, or opportunities focused on design, 13
4343 crafts, music, visual and media arts, per-14
4444 forming arts, language, literature, or ex-15
4545 pressions of Native cultures or regional or 16
4646 local heritage culture; and 17
4747 (B) an occupation that— 18
4848 (i) currently has or is projected to 19
4949 have a number of positions (including posi-20
5050 tions that lead to economic self-sufficiency 21
5151 and opportunities for advancement) in an 22
5252 industry sector so as to have a substantial 23
5353 potential impact on a State, regional, or 24
