101101 sure that the exhibits and programs of the Mu-6
102102 seum accurately and comprehensively represent 7
103103 the varied cultures, histories, events, and values 8
104104 held by women in the United States. 9

106106 PECIFIC REQUIREMENTS .—In car-10
107107 rying out its duties, the Council shall ensure 11
108108 that it seeks and utilizes to its maximum ability 12
109109 guidance from a broad array of knowledgeable 13
110110 and respected sources reflecting the diversity of 14
111111 the political viewpoints and authentic experi-15
112112 ences held by women in the United States, and 16
113113 shall seek such guidance for both the creation 17
114114 and substantial revision of exhibits and pro-18
115115 grams. 19

117117 EFINITIONS.—In this subpara-20

119119 ‘‘(i) the term ‘broad array’ means a 22
120120 range of experts and publications that rep-23
121121 resent the broad spectrum of communities 24
122122 of women, to include varied viewpoints, po-25

128128 ‘‘(ii) the term ‘knowledgeable and re-3
129129 spected source’ means an individual who 4
130130 has gained through education, publication, 5
131131 or witnessing an important or historical 6
132132 event, the ability to advise on at least one 7
133133 unique viewpoint or experience of a par-8
134134 ticular community of women in the United 9
135135 States, and whose knowledge has been re-10
136136 lied upon by a notable segment of that 11
137137 community for education, heritage preser-12
138138 vation, or historical purposes, and includes 13
139139 the work of such an individual which re-14
140140 flects such ability and knowledge.’’. 15

142142 EPORTS TOCONGRESS.—Not later than 120 16
143143 days after the date of enactment of this Act and every 17
144144 2 years thereafter, the Secretary of the Smithsonian shall 18
145145 submit to the Committee on Natural Resources of the 19
146146 House of Representatives, the Committee on Energy and 20
147147 Natural Resources of the Senate, the Committee on House 21
148148 Administration of the House of Representatives, the Com-22
149149 mittee on Rules and Administration of the Senate, the 23
150150 Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the 24
151151 House of Representatives, the Committee on Appropria-25

166166 ments made by this section shall take effect as if included 11
167167 in the enactment of title I of division T of the Consolidated 12
