2222 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLES. 3
2323 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Protect Our Law en-4
2424 forcement with Immigration Control and Enforcement Act 5
2525 of 2025’’ or the ‘‘POLICE Act of 2025’’. 6

2929 SEC. 2. ASSAULT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. 1
3030 Section 237(a)(2) of the Immigration and Nationality 2
3131 Act (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(2)) is amended by adding at the 3
3232 end the following: 4
3333 ‘‘(G) A
3434 SSAULT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OF -5
3535 FICER.— 6
3636 ‘‘(i) I
3737 N GENERAL.—Any alien who has 7
3838 been convicted of, who admits having com-8
3939 mitted, or who admits committing acts 9
4040 which constitute the essential elements of, 10
4141 any offense involving assault of a law en-11
4242 forcement officer is deportable. 12
4343 ‘‘(ii) C
4444 IRCUMSTANCES.—The cir-13
4545 cumstances referred to in clause (i) are 14
4646 that the law enforcement officer was as-15
4747 saulted— 16
4848 ‘‘(I) while he or she was engaged 17
4949 in the performance of his or her offi-18
5050 cial duties; 19
5151 ‘‘(II) because of the performance 20
5252 of his or her official duties; or 21
5353 ‘‘(III) because of his or her sta-22
5454 tus as a law enforcement officer. 23

6262 meaning given that term in the juris-2
6363 diction where the act occurred; and 3
6464 ‘‘(II) the term ‘law enforcement 4
6565 officer’ is a person authorized by 5
6666 law— 6
6767 ‘‘(aa) to engage in or super-7
6868 vise the prevention, detection, in-8
6969 vestigation, or prosecution, or the 9
7070 incarceration of any person for 10
7171 any criminal violation of law; 11
7272 ‘‘(bb) to apprehend, arrest, 12
7373 or prosecute an individual for 13
7474 any criminal violation of law; or 14
7575 ‘‘(cc) to be a firefighter or 15
7676 other first responder.’’. 16
7777 SEC. 3. REPORT ON ALIENS DEPORTED FOR ASSAULTING A 17
7878 LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. 18
7979 The Secretary of Homeland Security shall submit to 19
8080 Congress and make publicly available on the website of 20
8181 the Department of Homeland Security an annual report 21
8282 identifying the number of aliens who were deported during 22
8383 the previous fiscal year pursuant to section 237(a)(2)(G) 23
