2323 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘American Values Act’’. 4

3434 TIONS ANDINVOLUNTARYSTERILIZATIONS.—None of the 2
3535 funds authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made 3
3636 available to carry out this Act may be made available— 4
3737 ‘‘(1) to pay for the performance of abortions as 5
3838 a method of family planning or to motivate or coerce 6
3939 any person to practice abortions; 7
4040 ‘‘(2) to pay for the performance of involuntary 8
4141 sterilization as a method of family planning or to co-9
4242 erce or provide any financial incentive to any person 10
4343 to undergo sterilizations; 11
4444 ‘‘(3) to pay for biomedical research which re-12
4545 lates in whole or in part, to methods of, or the per-13
4646 formance of, abortions or involuntary sterilization as 14
4747 a means of family planning; 15
4848 ‘‘(4) to lobby for or against abortion; or 16
4949 ‘‘(5) to any organization or program which, as 17
5050 determined by the President, supports or partici-18
5151 pates in the management of a program of coercive 19
5252 abortion or involuntary sterilization.’’. 20

5454 EACECORPSACT.—Section 301(b) of the Peace 21
5555 Corps Act (22 U.S.C. 2501a(b)) is amended by adding 22
