16	16	Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
17	17	tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
18	18	SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
19	19	This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Comprehensive Addic-4
20	20	tion Recovery through Effective Employment and Reentry 5
21	21	Act of 2025’’ or the ‘‘CAREER Act of 2025’’. 6

29	29	NGENERAL.—Section 7183 of the SUPPORT 4
30	30	for Patients and Communities Act (42 U.S.C. 290ee–8) 5

32	32	(1) in the section heading, by inserting ‘‘; 7

34	34	SUPPORT GRANTS ’’ after ‘‘CAREER ACT’’; 9
35	35	(2) in subsection (b), by inserting ‘‘each’’ before 10

38	38	(A) in paragraph (1), by striking ‘‘the 13

87	87	tivity supported by a grant under this section, which 2
88	88	transportation shall be to or from a place of work 3
89	89	or a place where the individual is receiving voca-4
90	90	tional education or job training services or receiving 5
91	91	services directly linked to treatment of or recovery 6
92	92	from a substance use disorder. 7
93	93	‘‘(3) L
94	94	IMITATION.—The Secretary may not re-8
95	95	quire an entity to, or give priority to an entity that 9
96	96	plans to, use the funds of a grant under this section 10
97	97	for activities that are not specified in this sub-11
98	98	section.’’; 12
99	99	(5) in subsection (i)(2), by inserting ‘‘, which 13
100	100	shall include employment and earnings outcomes de-14
101	101	scribed in subclauses (I) and (III) of section 15
102	102	116(b)(2)(A)(i) of the Workforce Innovation and 16
103	103	Opportunity Act (29 U.S.C. 3141(b)(2)(A)(i)) with 17
104	104	respect to the participation of such individuals with 18
105	105	a substance use disorder in programs and activities 19
