1818 SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
1919 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Lieutenant Osvaldo 4
2020 Albarati Stopping Prison Contraband Act’’. 5
2121 SEC. 2. PROHIBITED PROVISION OF A PHONE. 6
2222 Section 1791(b) of title 18, United States Code, is 7
2323 amended— 8
2424 (1) by redesignating paragraphs (4) and (5) as 9
2525 paragraphs (5) and (6), respectively; 10

3131 ‘‘(4) in the case of a violation of subsection 3
3232 (a)(1), imprisonment for not more than 2 years, or 4
3333 both, if the object is specified in subsection 5
3434 (d)(1)(F) of this section;’’; and 6
3535 (3) in paragraph (5), as so redesignated, by in-7
3636 serting ‘‘, in the case of a violation of subsection 8
3737 (a)(2),’’ before ‘‘(d)(1)(F)’’. 9
3838 SEC. 3. REVIEW OF POLICIES. 10
3939 Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment 11
4040 of this Act, the Director of the Bureau of Prisons shall— 12
4141 (1) conduct a review of the policies of the Bu-13
4242 reau of Prisons pertaining to inmates who make, 14
4343 possess, obtain, or attempt to make or obtain a pro-15
4444 hibited object, as defined in section 1791(d)(1) of 16
4545 title 18, United States Code; and 17
4646 (2) update those policies as needed to improve 18
4747 protections for incarcerated individuals and staff. 19
