50	50	Section 1. Section 63G-1-902 is enacted to read:

56	56	(1) As used in this section:

58	58	(a) "Mountain daylight time" means a time that is one hour later than mountain standard

62	62	(b) "Mountain standard time" means the observed time assigned to the mountain time

64	64	zone in 15 U.S.C. Sec. 261.

66	66	(2) Except as provided in Subsection (3), beginning on January 1, 2026, Utah: H.B. 120 01-07 14:48

68	68	(a) is exempt from the provisions of 15 U.S.C. Sec. 260a that provide for the

72	72	(b) will observe mountain standard time at all times of the year.

74	74	(3) If federal law is changed to permit Utah to observe mountain daylight time at all times

76	76	of the year, Utah will, beginning at 2 a.m. on January 1 after the change to federal law
