43	43		Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:

45	45		Section 1. Section 64-13-51 is enacted to read:

47	47		64-13-51 . Drug abuse and trafficking unit.

49	49		(1) The department shall create a drug abuse and trafficking unit within the department.

51	51		(2) The drug abuse and trafficking unit created in Subsection (1) shall:

53	53		(a) develop and implement strategies to combat drug abuse and trafficking by:

55	55		(i) offenders within correctional facilities and under the department's supervision; and

57	57		(ii) individuals working directly with, or in connection with, offenders within
58	58		27
59	59		correctional facilities or under the department's supervision; and
