4141 Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah, the Governor concurring therein:

4343 WHEREAS, Utah's state parks, monuments, and campgrounds provide valuable outdoor

4545 recreational opportunities and protect significant natural and cultural resources for the people

4949 WHEREAS, Utah's growing population and vibrant tourism industry will require the state

5151 to develop new outdoor recreational opportunities and maintain existing state parks,

5353 monuments, and campgrounds;

5555 WHEREAS, certain state trust lands and other areas may be suitable for designation as state

5959 WHEREAS, the Monte Cristo area located in Cache, Rich, and Weber counties offers

6161 unique recreational opportunities that the Division of State Parks may evaluate for designation
