HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 526
Commending The Sweet Spot.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, January 27, 2025
WHEREAS, The Sweet Spot, a dessert bar with multiple locations in Virginia Beach, has enhanced the dining scene in Virginia Beach through its creative offerings; and
WHEREAS, The Sweet Spot is best known for its lively pink decor and its signature milkshakes, decadent creations made with dozens of flavors of premium ice cream and other toppings and served in Mason jars that customers can keep as souvenirs; and
WHEREAS, The Sweet Spot also offers fresh, made-to-order pink funnel cakes, pink bubble waffles, churros, and mini Italian donuts made with ingredients imported from Italy, as well as a variety of coffee drinks; and
WHEREAS, The Sweet Spot strives to accommodate all customers by offering dairy-free, sugar-free, and vegan ice cream flavors and other treats; and
WHEREAS, The Sweet Spot has served countless customers from locations at the Virginia Beach Ocean Front and the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach, with plans to open new locations at Atlantic Park in Virginia Beach and Summit Pointe in Chesapeake; and
WHEREAS, among many awards and accolades, The Sweet Spot has been recommended by Restaurant Guru for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024, and the members of Nextdoor have also voted The Sweet Spot as a 2024 Neighborhood Favorite in the Best Dessert Shop and Best Go-to Restaurant categories; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That The Sweet Spot hereby be commended for its service to the residents of and visitors to Virginia Beach; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to The Sweet Spot as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its contributions to the region's vibrant local economy.
