2025 SESSION ENROLLED HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 696 Celebrating the life of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Lloyd Eaves, USA. Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 17, 2025 WHEREAS, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Lloyd Eaves, USA, a helicopter pilot with the United States Army, died during a training mission on January 29, 2025; and WHEREAS, Andrew Eaves grew up in Brooksville, Mississippi, and served as a member of the United States Navy from August 2007 to September 2010, before becoming a Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk pilot with the United States Army; and WHEREAS, over the course of his military career, Andrew Eaves was stationed in Virginia, Maryland, Oklahoma, and Mississippi, in addition to overseas postings; and WHEREAS, Andrew Eaves was most recently stationed at Fort Belvoir in Fairfax County, where he was a member of the 12th Aviation Battalion, under the United States Army Military District of Washington; and WHEREAS, Andrew Eaves earned numerous awards and decorations for his exceptional service, including three Army Commendation Medals, a Navy Commendation Medal, an Army Achievement Medal, three Navy Achievement Medals, and three Navy Good Conduct Medals, among others; and WHEREAS, Andrew Eaves will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Carrie; his two children; and numerous other family members, friends, and fellow soldiers; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Lloyd Eaves, USA, an experienced pilot with the United States Army; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Lloyd Eaves, USA, as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
