1319 WHEREAS, Carlos Castro, president and chief executive officer of Todos Supermarket, a thriving business in Woodbridge and Dumfries, is a prime example of perseverance, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit; and

1521 WHEREAS, Carlos Castro emigrated from El Salvador at the age of 25, fleeing the violence of the Salvadoran Civil War, and bravely faced the challenges of starting anew in the United States; and

1723 WHEREAS, Carlos Castro worked in various jobs, including as a dishwasher and laborer, before pursuing an education and eventually becoming a successful businessman, opening Todos Supermarket in 1990 to serve the growing Latino community in Northern Virginia; and

1925 WHEREAS, under Carlos Castro's leadership, Todos Supermarket has expanded to two locations, employing more than 200 people and providing services to a diverse customer base while contributing to the economic development of the local community; and

2935 RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Carlos Castro hereby be commended for his entrepreneurial success, community leadership, and lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals in the Commonwealth; and, be it
