1519 WHEREAS, for 60 years, Hollin Meadows Elementary School of Fairfax County Public Schools has made an impact in the community by ensuring the academic, social, and emotional well-being of its students; and

1721 WHEREAS, Hollin Meadows Elementary School was opened in 1965 and serves several historic neighborhoods in Fairfax County, including Gum Springs and Hollin Hills; and

3135 WHEREAS, in 2009, First Lady Michelle Obama and Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack visited Hollin Meadows Elementary School to present the school with a silver medal as part of the Obama administration's HealthierUS School Challenge and to highlight the school's ongoing achievements in supporting childhood fitness and nutrition; and
