1321 WHEREAS, Robert Douglas Wright, a highly admired member of the Staunton community, died on March 4, 2023; and

1523 WHEREAS, Douglas Doug Wright was born to David and Patricia Wright of Stanley and graduated from Luray High School; he continued his education by earning a bachelor's degree from Radford University; and

1725 WHEREAS, Doug Wright spent more than 10 years of his career at the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind, where he played a vital role as the information technology director; and

1927 WHEREAS, Doug Wright upheld the highest standards of information security to protect the data of students, teachers, and other stakeholders; and

2129 WHEREAS, Doug Wright was committed to the mission and vision of the Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind and worked diligently to meet the unique needs of the agency, while ensuring that students received the best possible education; and
