| 14 | 14 | | truancy reduction grants in the 2024-25 school year. The bill specifies that if |

| 15 | 15 | | LRB-5489 is not enacted into law during the 2023 legislative session, the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | appropriation created in this bill is void. LRB-5489 requires DPI to establish and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | implement a grant program under which DPI must awards grants to eligible school |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | districts for the purpose of reducing truancy. |
|---|
