1414 Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
1515 Current law preempts a political subdivision from regulating the sale,
1616 purchase, purchase delay, transfer, ownership, use, keeping, possession, bearing,
1717 transportation, licensing, permitting, registration, or taxation of any firearm,
1818 firearm part, ammunition, or knife in a manner that is more stringent than under
1919 state statute. This bill eliminates the preemption so that a political subdivision may
2020 regulate such activity in a manner that is more stringent than under state statute.
