15 | 15 | | This bill makes several changes to laws administered by the Department of |

16 | 16 | | Tourism. |

17 | 17 | | The bill modifies the requirement imposed under current law that the |

18 | 18 | | department annually report on its activities to the Senate Natural Resources |

19 | 19 | | Committee and the Assembly Committee on T ourism. Under the bill, the |
---|
20 | 20 | | department is directed to report to the appropriate standing committees of the |
---|
21 | 21 | | legislature, rather than the specifically named committees. |

22 | 22 | | Additionally, the bill repeals the following three provisions: |

23 | 23 | | 1. The requirement that the department distribute donated cheese that is made |
---|
24 | 24 | | in Wisconsin at tourist information centers. The department no longer operates |

25 | 25 | | tourist information centers. |

26 | 26 | | 2. The requirement that the Council on Tourism consider the use of famous |

27 | 27 | | Wisconsin residents and former residents in tourism marketing strategies. |

28 | 28 | | 3. The requirement that WPGA Junior Foundation, Inc., annually submit to |

46 | 46 | | Frank Lloyd Wright Trail established under s. 84.10255. |
