4-AN ACT to amend 118.01 (2) (c) 8. of the statutes; relating to: directing school boards to provide instruction on

6-The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in
7-senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
8-SECTION 1. 118.01 (2) (c) 8. of the statutes is
9-amended to read:
10-118.01 (2) (c) 8.  At all grade levels, an understanding
11-of human relations, particularly with regard to American
12-Indians, Black Americans and, Hispanics, Hmong Amer-
13-icans, and Asian Americans.
14-*  Section 991.11,  WISCONSIN STATUTES:   Effective date of acts.  “Every act and every portion of an act enacted by the legislature over the governor’s
15-partial veto which does not expressly prescribe the time when it takes effect shall take effect on the day after its date of publication.”

13+AN ACT to amend 118.01 (2) (c) 8. of the statutes; relating to: directing school
14+boards to provide instruction on Hmong Americans and Asian Americans.
15+Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
16+Current law requires each school board to provide an instructional program
17+designed to give pupils an understanding of human relations, particularly with
18+regard to American Indians, Black Americans, and Hispanics. This bill directs
19+school boards to include in that instructional program information related to
20+understanding human relations with regard to Hmong Americans and Asian
21+Americans.
22+The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
23+enact as follows:
