1010 AN ACT to create 118.07 (6) of the statutes; relating to: posting the child abuse
1111 and neglect reporting hotline in school buildings.

1313 This bill requires a school board, the operator of an independent charter school,
1414 or the governing body of a private school participating in a parental choice program
1515 or in the Special Needs Scholarship Program to post in a conspicuous location in a
1616 public area of each school building a sign that contains the telephone number for the
1717 local county or state agency that is responsible for receiving reports of, and
1818 conducting investigations regarding, child abuse or neglect.

2020 an appendix to this bill.
2121 The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
2222 enact as follows:
2323 SECTION 1. 118.07 (6) of the statutes is created to read:
2424 118.07 (6) A school board, the operator of a charter school under s. 118.40 (2r)
2525 or (2x), or the governing body of a private school participating in a program under
2626 s. 115.7915, 118.60, or 119.23 shall post in a conspicuous location in a public area of
