| 15 | 15 | | Current law provides a minimum per pupil revenue limit for school districts, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | known as the revenue ceiling. Under current law, the per pupil revenue ceiling is |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | $11,000 in the 2023-24 school year and each school year thereafter. Current law also |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | provides that, during the three school years following a school year in which an |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | operating referendum fails in a school district, the school district's revenue ceiling |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | is the revenue ceiling that applied in the school year during which the referendum |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | was held. The bill eliminates the provision under which a school district's revenue |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | ceiling is the revenue ceiling from a previous school year because an operating |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | referendum failed in the school district. |
