Disabled Parking on UW
Campuses
2023 WISCONSIN ACT 59
Under current law, vehicles with certain disability-related registration plates or special identification
cards generally are not subject to parking time limits or meter payments for spaces with at least 30-
minute time limits located on municipally owned or leased streets and lots. 2023 Wisconsin Act 59
extends these parking privileges to also apply on any University of Wisconsin (UW) System campus.
Effective date: December 7, 2024
