Identification of the Location of
the Mount Horeb Veterans
Memorial on Highway Maps
State law requires the Department of Transportation (DOT) to publish highway service maps and folded
highway maps of the state. The maps must identify the location of veterans centers, homes, memorials,
monuments, and museums that are listed in statute.
2023 Wisconsin Act 270 adds the Mount Horeb Veterans Memorial in the Village of Mount Horeb in
Dane County to the list of locations that must be identified on the maps published by DOT.
Effective date and initial applicability: Act 270 took effect on April 7, 2024, and initially applies to
maps published by DOT on that date.
